Bougatsa me tyri is not tyropita

Ετικέτες Technorati: ,

1. Bougatsa me tyri is not tyropita (similarly bougatsa me kima is not kreatopita). It's not that hard to tell - just put them next to each other.
2. When you order souvlaki it can only mean one thing, and that is: chunks of meat on a skewer. Souvlaki me gyro (what all normal people know as PITA GYRO) makes no sense - you can either have SOUVLAKI or GYROS!
3. Renaming souvlaki after a device used to drink off a can/glass is a good idea? (Ena souvlaki kalamaki parakalo!)
4. Since Portokalada= a drink that comes from oranges (portokalia), then the respective drink with lemons is LEMONADA, right? Well, not for our friends in the south! Perhaps we should start saying PORTOKALITA as well? :)
5. A person that says HAMOU when the generally recognised word for "down" is KATO has no right to make fun of our accent - even more so saying the word "Bulgarians". Learn some geography already!

6. Listing separately all the towns and villages put together to create Athens, then classifying an entire 1.5 mil. city as "Thessaloniki" makes you look stupid. "Pagkrati", "Haidari" etc. are not as important outside Attica as you might think.
